In Praiano there are many churches and many Saint’s images that represent the religious spirit of Praiano’s inhabitants. Since ancient times people have always looked for something bigger than them as protection so that’s probably why the people of this village have put various saints images by their houses and all along the streets.
These shrines are to be considered within their religious setting and not their artistic value, infact they are to be considered as a religious sign and not as works of art
